While walking through a residential neighborhood in Koneru after finishing a job, Kogoro hears a scream. He follows the scream and finds a man named Esaka Ritsuo sitting on the ground. Apparently someone pushed his back while he was waiting for the signal to change and was nearly hit by a car. At the detective agency, Conan and Kogoro listen to Esaka’s story. He has lost his memories from the past year and believes he may have done something to incur someone’s enmity during that time…
